There was a riot on the Earth
Chains were broken cos they hurt -
there is peace again and quiet,
for a while there is no riot.
My humble soul rebelled to ask -
not for gain, but for a task :
- How many unfulfilled dreams
are still required,
till this life will teach me
not to want and stay just quiet ?
Years go by - I search the sky ;
sweat and hope is like a dope
-life is hanging on a rope-
and i learn in silence to accept
never reason - never doubt – a big concept.
All four seasons dried my tears
long ago i knew no fears
now i came to ask the passing years
why the sky is deaf and never hears.
And i asked again like this :
- Faith and love my strength and core
can i bear it any more,
is it possible to learn
to deny and ban myself,
to want nothing will it help ?
For I know it lives in me
a wild and ancient entity
who gladly brings - if i let him -
healing to my sufferings ;
gladly undertakes the torture even death
for a life of moment with us on earth to have.
So often i oppress him
- when he calls - I run away
" nothing good will bring to you "
the people say;
law and order teaches that he can't be good,
while he smile at me so friendly -
begging for a little food.
Looks at me like innocent condemned to death ,
like one who heard of grace but never met
- green eyed monster with deep roots -
free and wild who never cools;
ancient power persecuted, hunted by the laws,
for to be controlled he never vows.
And they say he's poor of meaning
has no brain and has no feeling ;
when the heavens made the casting
-setting rules for ages lasting-
was created like a subordinate servant
-for the noble feelings -
when their state is desperate and urgent;
yet he can not be avoided banned from life
even if he never takes the subordinate vow
for at night in secret do they seek him
even teachers and the keepers of the law.
I was happy when i gave him shelter ,
- and so seldom did i let him enter -
then he wiped of all my tears,
and we laughed at all my fears.
That was green eyed monster with deep roots,
in ancient times who never cools -
outcast for his love of freedom,
banned from any kingdom,
persecuted hunted by the laws,
for to be controlled he never vows.
Stay silent - do not wake him up,
while i learn the narrow path,
facing each and every trial -
holding to my self denial
even though is very hurting
day and night i keep it learning
when i think i have just made it
he is on and wants to take it;
when i hope for peace and quiet-
he prepares a bloody riot……
Peaceful dreams of spring water and meadows,
- were enough -
and then came a stray and little spark.
Memories of torments were to much,
and they gave the monster – a waking touch.
And he woke completely,
taking cruelly his tenfold interest
-taking it on all my missed dreams -
dreams i missed when he was friendly - good,
begging for a little food;
begging like the innocent condemned to death,
like one who heard of grace but never met -
Now the monster is just raging,
chains and lock holds he is breaking
does not ask the skies for blessing,
does not feel his manners missing,
does not want to stay on death row,
does not wait to be tomorrow .
By full strength - in a moment - comes to surface,
with a roar of shaking heavens ;
does not bleat like friendly sheep,
rules and laws he does not keep
does not care about his meaning
about critics of his feeling
rises up with strength and grace ,
teachers of the law are all amazed ,
envied by the noble feelings
for he lives by pure instincts;
on the day of final casting
all the artificial favored ones complain,
for by very nature green eyed takes it all
and doesn't fear pain.
God damn !
He broke the dam !
The forbidden ,the oppressed
the ancient that was meant to be regressed,
by law and teaching full of meaning,
when accused with lack of feeling !
And i thought that he became disabled,
-crippled, long ago-
punished through all ages -
for refusing to obey
and to confess by law.
And i do not care if he is branded
to be less than noble feeling ,
or he has been just created
like a subordinate servant
to a higher meaning.
I am happy when i give him shelter,
when i let him enter ,
he is wiping all my tears,
we just laugh at all my fears.
I give shelter to a hunted noble game ,
i realize that our cast is much the same,
and i feel so free when share with him,
the heavy chains i bear within ...
