Forged iron
Teljes mű / Kész
Forged iron does surround the courtyard of the church
-from outside is a living hedge-
deliverance and peace - in supplication do i search -
when hope is dying on the edge .
Following so eagerly the ceremony even through the hedge
-ever since my youth i searched-
to reach the saving sanctuary in this life - it was my pledge -
to see my fever quenched.
It was a quiet summer afternoon and i was closer to my sixty
-the Mass was held for me-
so undecided between hedge and church door I felt nasty
-it seemed eternity-
Stolen in a way of no reverse - I realized - I lost my everything
-i didn't long for answers-
taken by my instincts to the hedge- i was again adventuring-
forgetting saints and masters.
Will the forged iron do protect the courtyard of the church -
by the inviting hedge;
heavenly array and angels - will they understand of such-
will i keep my pledge ?
Then i remembered that creation is sustained by pure love
-even with the evil swirling in circles-
trying to take me far apart - from heavenly array above -
stealing life in cycles.
